How can we help?
Answers to common questions, how to reach us, and how to delete your account.
Frequently asked
How do I log a trip?
On Drive, tap Start trip and enter your starting battery % or fuel level. When you arrive, tap End trip, add the ending reading and any charge or fill-up, and save.
Why is my distance an estimate?
If location permission is off, Comutrack estimates distance from the trip time. Allow location "While using the app" for measured distance. It is only used during an active trip.
Can I read a receipt instead of typing it?
Yes. When adding a charge or fill-up, take a photo of the receipt and Comutrack fills in the station, amount and price. Check the numbers before saving. The receipt photo is kept privately in your account.
How do I export my data?
Go to Profile, Settings, Export trip & fuel data. You get a CSV of your trips and energy logs, which you can save or send to yourself.
How do I change currency or units?
Profile, Settings. Changing the country sets the currency automatically, and you can switch between kilometres and miles.
Someone posted something inappropriate. What do I do?
Email support@comutrack.com with a link to the post or profile. We review reports and remove content that breaks the Terms.
Does Comutrack connect to my car?
No. Tracking is manual: you start and end trips, and log charges and fill-ups yourself. There is no car account, OBD-II dongle or telematics link, so it works with any car.
Which cars does it support?
Battery electric (BEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), range-extended (REEV), hybrid (HEV) and gas cars. Each type asks for the right readings: battery %, fuel level, kWh or litres.
Is my location tracked all the time?
No. Comutrack only uses GPS while a trip is running, to measure distance and speed. It doesn't track you in the background, and trips are saved with the place names you type, not coordinates.
What do other people see when I share?
Only what you post. Car cards show this month's distance, never your odometer. Shared posts never include your battery or fuel readings, plate number or receipts, and you can hide start and end points on shared trips.
Delete your account
Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, cars, trips, fuel and charging logs, reminders, posts, comments, reactions, follows, challenge entries, photos and receipts, and your sign-in. It can't be undone. Export your trips and logs first if you want a copy.
In the app
- Open Comutrack and go to Profile.
- Tap the menu, then Settings.
- Optional: tap Export trip & fuel data to save a CSV.
- Under Account, tap Delete account and confirm. You may be asked to sign in again.
By email
If you can't sign in, or don't see Delete account in your version of the app, email us from the address on your account (or include your @handle and sign-in method). We'll confirm by email and delete everything within 30 days.
